What meanings are contained within a family photograph? Shinwook Kim has explored this question, examining the aspirations and dreams versus the harsh realities of loss and hardship experienced by his own family in South Korea.
By photographing images of his family that were projected onto an ice wall, his work conveys the transitory nature of family life and poses questions about the permanence and meaning of the family in modern society.
